Error acessing windows update site Error number: 0x80070424

When i tried to acess the site the Error number: 0x80070424 apears to me
what is this ? also my security center tells me that automatic updates are
off and doesn t turn on.

1. Click Start.
2. Choose Run.
3. In the Run box, type (pressing okay after each one) :-

net.exe stop wuauserv
regsvr32.exe wuapi.dll
regsvr32.exe wups.dll
regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll
regsvr32.exe wucltui.dll
regsvr32.exe MSXML3.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgr.dll
regsvr32.exe qmgrprxy.dll
net.exe start wuauserv

Restart.

Hi!
I'm having the very same problem this morning as the first writer. I have
XP and am trying to download sp2. Get the same error code, so I tried your
suggestion to fix the problem. Successfully ran the first command, but got
stuck on the second with the message being that I don't have the library. I
went ahead and restarted the updates again using the last command. Help
please!
