Error After install Security Update MS06-001

OS Windows XP SP2
Outlook 2003 SP2
Word XP (2002) SP3

After install security update 912919, If my Outlook and Word open the
assistand display this error "There are no office Assistant character files
present on the system. Please run Setup maintenance mode and install at least
ome".

any idea?
