"dejolamom",
I would like to help, but we need a little more information.
1. Which operating system are you using?
A. Windows XP?
B. Windows 2000?
C. Windows Server 2003?
D. Windows ME?
E. Windows 98?
2. If Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003, which Service Pack?
You can find this:
A. Right-Click on My Computer
B. Click on Properties
C. Look at the Operating System listed on the General tab for the words:
"Service Pack"
You might try to use an in-place upgrade of your system, if you are using
Windows 2000, XP, or Server 2003. Here are those links:
Windows 2000:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;292175
Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;315341
Windows Server 2003:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;816579
Please note: Performing one of these "in-place" upgrades to your system
allows you to maintain your data and programs, but will take your system
back to the day the Operating System CD was manufactured. This means that
you may need to install a significant number of updates and perhaps a
service pack.
Sincerely,
Pat Walters [MSFT]
