Error code 0x643 when trying to install Windows Update Service Pac

When trying to update to Windows Update Service Pack 1 I am getting error
code 0x643 and the installation fails. I cannot find anything that would
give me a clue as to why this update is failing to install and would be
grateful for any pointers that might help me get this issue resolved.

Windows server 2003 SP1
SQL Server 2000 SP4
