Error Code: 0x80070008 while I was trying to download Security updates for
windows XP and for update for windown XP how can I fix that

Please try this ... show hidden files, folders, and system files

Using Windows Explorer [ Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows
Explorer ], navigate to the WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution folder
Open the Download folder
Delete *all contents* of the Download folder
Now open the EventCache folder
Delete *all contents* of the EventCache folder
Close Windows Explorer
Initiate a manual visit to Windows Update
If the error code appears again, then open the WindowsUpdate.log located
in the WINDOWS directory [folder]
Copy & paste the last 40 lines or so of the log into your reply, please.

I have the same problem, but there's one file I can not delete in the
"EventCache" folder: {3CCB0633-42AF-4BF6-90CD-187E7BEB9C8B}.bin
