Genuine advantage update will not install, I keep getting this error message.

Then reboot if necessary and try again.

I tried this and it didn't work. I had this same problem a month or
two ago, why is Microsoft continuing to hassle its customers with this
WGA "feature"?

If anyone has a fix, I'd appreciate the help!

I'm having the same problem as Jerry.
Although my copy of Windows is genuine, as the WGA Diagnostic Tool confirms,
running the tool had no effect whatsoever.
The only solution for 0x8007005 I could find with the "Find Solutions"
search (registry permissions) is inapplicable as the permissions are fine.

Another workaround is to use Regmon and see for what keys get "Access Denied",
or
Restore the permission back to default

Regmon is a Registry monitoring utility that will show you which applications
are accessing your Registry, which keys they are accessing, and the Registry
data that they are reading and writing - all in real-time
