Error code 0x80070103 when installing Via Ethernet update

Hi,
I'm new to the forums, so please be gentle!!

I am getting an update failure code when I try to install this update which
microsoft says I need ?

I also get the ' Found new Hardware Wizard" splash screen on start-up, but
it says Device unknown ?

I would be eternally grateful if you had any suggestions how to resolve
this, it's driving me nuts !

I received the same error code when trying to install today. I'm new as well
and could use some direction on how to proceed and get the update. When I
tried to go back and run the windows updates, this no longer appears in the
list.

Appreciate any help! Lynne

the driver you are trying to install is already installed or the driver that you're trying
to install is an older driver than the one you have already.

All drivers should be obtained from the manufacturer's site rather than from Windows
Update.
