Error Code 0x80246007

i tryed downloading windows updates and it fails and sayes i have Error
Code:0x80246007 is thair a way around this?

i have a compaq Evo N1000v with windows xp pro

0x80246007 SUS_E_DM_NOTDOWNLOADED
A BITS transfer error occurred, but the exact error could not be retrieved.

Are you running WinXP Gold or WinXP SP1?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this
machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?
