Error Code 0x80248011 when using Windows update

I did clear all Internet explorer cookies, data etc. plus Offline data. Same
message. I also can't update my Office 2003 package anymore.

When searching for available updates on the Update site, you receive the
0x80248011 error.

You may receive an error message when you search for available updates on the

Renaming die "Automatic Update Services" solved the problem. Thank you! This
problem happened when I reinstalled XP yesterday on my current system due to
hardware errors on one of my drives (this refresh solved my problems, too).
