Error code 0xFFFFFC06 when installing updates

Hey, just wondering if anyone has a clue as to why I am getting error code
0xFFFFFC06 when I try to download the following updates....

Security Update for Windows XP (KB873339)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB885836)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB888302)
Security Update for Windows Messenger (KB887472)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB891781)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB888113)
Update for Windows XP (KB887742)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB885835)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB885250)

I already have SP2 installed and can't seem to get these last few done!
Driving me crazy... any suggestion would be great appreciated.

'FC06' is a ReadVerifyFailure.

Have you tried downloading/installing one-at-a-time, to see if you can isolate
which update(s) is actually causing the error?
