Error code: 0xFFFFFC06

Every time I try to install Windows XP service pack 2 I get a message saying
the install has failed and this code : 0xFFFFFC06

I searched for an answer on a lot internet sites, but I can't find it

can someone help me??

I get the same problem trying to update my older XP version to SP2 - seeing as MS doesn't support SP1 any more. The error code is:
0xFFFFFC06

Any help?

is the preferred tool to use. It will help you to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware.

http://castlecops.com/forum67.html, http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30 or
other appropriate forum for expert analysis, not here.**

2. Do not install SP2 until an expert gives your HijackThis log a clean bill
of health.
