Every time I try to sign up on Windows Live using my company email address I
get the following error message.

We are working to fix a temporary problem with our sign-up service.
Please try again.
Error code: 100

Error code:1000x800482d4:::Wed, 2 Jul 2008 21:59:50 UTC

Is someone really working on this? How can we get this resolved so that we
can sign up to use the Live Messenger?

Greetings David,

Where exactly are you seeing this? I ask because the default Live ID wizard doesn't allow
you to use your own e-mail address anymore and forces you to create a Hotmail.com or Live.com
account.

However, old wizard still works and I just made one there with one of my e-mail addresses.
The old one can be found at:
http://register.passport.net, and clicking the 'Get started now' under the 'Use an e-mail
address you already have' header.

Jonathan,
I too was able to create an account with my own email address, but now none
of my office mates are able to do so. We would like to sign up for Windows
live because we need to share an online calendar. They each rec'v the Error
100 message.

If Windows Live isn't allowing you to create an account with your own email,
then why can I do it? Also, why can't my office mates create one now?

You can use the gmail service, its free and there you can gather all your
email addresses at the same place, but ironicly it has huge problems getting
@msn.com @hotmail.com @live.com etc adresses to work. So if you only have
microsoft based mails it can be "gently said" a pain in the a**.
