Error Code 8004002

Hi,

I have windows Vista 32bit Ultimate version.

When go to get updates I get this Error Code 8004002.

I am runing AVG -Anti-Virus.

I have tried, stoping uodate service -- renaming software distribution
folder -- restarting update service.

This process did not help still get error code. However it did help on
friends computer with the same problem of not being able to access the
updates.

I have noticed that when I shutdown Windows media player while it is
playing, the sound continues on for a few seconds then stops.

The other thing I noticed is that AVG email scanner disables itself
periodicly.

These may or not be related to my Vista update error code.

But may be helpful to see the picture of my problem.
