error code 8007005 on update "vista"

I keep getting error code 8007005 on my windows update on vista, i am a admin
on this account, and the computer is new, and this is worrying me, i hope its
not a major issue, and i hope i can get it fixed

Hearkening back to days of old [XP and server 03 - but should work for VISTA
too], this error message may occur if you have insufficient permissions to
the Windows Update registry keys.
Try.

I attempted that, and yes it did not say allow, but when i checked them, and
clicked apply, it auto unchecked them, so i dont know if there is somewhere
else i could check that is higher on the regedit to make that work, or what
is going on

I've got the same message. I recently began to use AVG antivirus software,
rather than pay for Norton's software, which really slows down my system. I
can handle that I get the message after startup, up it stops me from updating
Windows...
