error code 800700C1

I keep getting this code. I've tried taking ownership of the corrupt file as
suggested on previous posts. Restarted computer and check for updates
again...got the same error code! Is there something I'm not doing? or doing
wrong? Please help!

Open a command prompt, WinKey+R. Type net stop wuauserv, hit ENTER.
Type or copy and paste rmdir /s %windir%\softwaredistribution\wuredir, hit
ENTER.
Type or copy and paste net start wuauserv.
Use the Windows Update Web site again to install updates.
