Error code 8007066F installing KB957789

Running Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1. Office 2007 with Service
Pack 1. Automatic Updates just downloaded KB957789 last evening. Tried to
install it and Windows Update says status "Failed".

Download the .exe file by clicking on the...... , and then save the file to
your hard disk drive. (Save the download(s) to your desktop, for convenience.)

It is recommended that you quit any programs you are running.

In Windows Explorer, double-click the .exe file that you saved to your hard
disk drive, and follow the instructions on the screen.

I am having the same problem and have been for months. I usually just ignore
it but I would like to resolve it once and for all. It is error 8007066F when
trying to install update KB957789. I have downloaded the full file and run it
but it comes back wit an error saying: The detection failed. This could be
due to a corrupted installation database.

Any ideas what I can try next?
