Can anyone help with the above error code unable to install update

Windows version? What update(s)? Are you certain the error is 80070750?

A search of Google Groups shows only one thread with the 80070750 error.
And, that's yours.
I suspect either a hardware or malware related cause.

micker isn't the only one with this error code, I have also gotten it. I

What version of Windows 7 do you have?
What architecture (32-bit or 64-bit)?

What antivirus software (be specific as to version as well) are you using?

Do you have *any* third party firewalls - even if they are a part of some
'suite' that includes your AntiVirus? If so - what is it?

Was this a clean installation of Windows 7 - or an upgrade from a prior
Windows installation?

Done a full CHKDSK and DEFRAG?

Performed a full AntiVirus scan?

Ran a full malware scan?
