Hello, I'm running Vista Home Premium x64 SP1 with Nod32 Antivirus.

After having many problems, I have reformatted and reinstalled Vista SP1 on
the
computer I built for the 3rd time (including the original build). I flashed
the latest BIOS
and reformatted the HD then installed it.

Previously, (and one of the reasons I reformatted yesterday) Vista was
very unstable, and I managed to keep it together until my sound went out
completely, and I could not bring it back with driver updates or anything
else. Further, I was unable to restore due to the Shadow Memory being
unavailable. Prior to that, I had numerous shutdowns, blue screens, and
windows "unable to start correctly". Update intallation was hit or miss,
but then (as now) I was unable to install .NET 3.5 for Vista x64.

As of now, I am unable to install:
IE8 for x64 systems
..NET Framework 3.5 service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 family update
(KB951847)x64
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB952069)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB953733)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB954154)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB954459)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB955069)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB956572)
Security Update for Windows Vista for x64-based systems (KB958644)
Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB952709)
Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB955302)

I have tried the stand alone installer for each update individually as
suggested in other threads, and they
all fail as well. I tried uninstalling NOD32 as well (on the odd chance
that it was blocking my updates), and they still failed.
Suggestions?

Thank you,

Mark

Did any of the fixes, that you can find by searching the internet for this
error code, fit your situation?
