McAfee Security Scan Plus was included with a so-called security update,
most likely for an Adobe "product", probably Flash Player but may even
have come from your ISP or it installed when a tool bar was installed.
According to the above page:

There are two ways to remove McAfee Security Scan Plus:
You can also uninstall through the McAfee Security Scan Plus folder:
1. Under Start menu, go to all Programs
2. Open McAfee Security Scan Plus folder
3. Select “Uninstall” "
So, it appears that McAfee counts *one* way to remove MSSP as two ways.
McAfee and Adobe, hand in hand. It's as if syphilis met gonorrhea and
they morphed into a cyber tumor.
