Error Code 8014fff9 in WERSVC at startup

I have a laptop running Vista Basic. Everytime it loads, there is an event
created with the following message.

The target file for the Windows Feedback Platform (a DLL file containing the
list of problems on this computer that require additional data collection
for diagnosis) could not be parsed. The error code was 8014FFF9.


Should I be worried?

It would seem that the cure for this is to remove patch KB931174.
Certainly this worked for me! However I'm not sure of the repercussions!
