Error code 8024401B - "proxycfg -u" fixed it

FYI, I kept getting error 8024401B on the updates: Cumulative Security Update
for Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB834707) and Critical
Update for Office XP on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB885884). Dos command
"proxycfg -u" apparently resolved the problem for both, but I had to reboot
for Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service
Pack 2 (KB834707).

Command "Proxycfg -?" describes the command. Command "Proxycfg" Displays
current settings.
