Hi again guys, I have finally (and completely by accident!!) found away to
resolve this problem. So, even though we have been ignored by MS, here it
is.
All i did was use my XP installation disc (after changing the boot sequence
in the BIOS so that cd-rom was the first device), go to install xp (i can
hear the panic setting in already!) but on the next screen select repair
(press 'R') this was the second time this appeared, the first time doesn't
give the same function.
Let the repair tool do its thing
It may seem a bit drastic but trust me, it worked and I only had to
re-install my internet connection and the problems i had with that were
resolved when i installed sp2 from a free disk from a PC mag.
I wont go on too much more but if you have any questions you can e-mail me
at
. All I can say is that it worked for me and now
my system is 100% better and mush more stable
