Just quit again at home with much smaller pst file. Found this link:

Which says basically, backup your pst, start fresh, restore pst. And do
again tomorrow. Or maybe try some other tricks, but basically do it tomorrow
again.
This is like the old windows joke about taking the engine out of the car and
putting it back in.
Someone should be very ashamed of 6.1
