I have the same problem. Any estimate on how long this will take to
re-download everything? I live out in a rural area and the only internet available is dial-up, with a 26.4KBS connection at that. ..NET Framework Version 1.1 alone will be a 23.1 MB download.

I am working through this same issue, but when I went to the Add/Remove
Programs to start removing all versions of .NET, I started with the current version of MS .NET Framework 1.1 that is already installed. I then received a Windows Installer message "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it." I have no idea what this means.
