Error code Ox643 (KB928366)

This update will not install,have not been able to resolve problem,help anyone?

ok now...i can not resolve my problem.....my update won't install on my
computer(Security update for microsoft.net framework version 1.1 service pack
1).....please help me.....cause yesterday my screen appeared all blue, and
today it happened again...not all the times but...still!

Perhaps it will help you. If it does not, then there is another
post in the same thread that gives a more complicated solution
(which is not a bad thing if it works!).

Update (KB928366) is Service Pack 1 for .NET Framework 1.1. Just download it
directly from the Microsoft Download Center. When you run it, and it begins
to install Service Pack 1, it will probably stop and say: Service Pack 1
already installed, would you like to reinstall it? Answer "yes" and your
problems are solved.

Not that I don't trust you but .NET SP1 at the Download Center has a date of
2004. The failing with KB928366 has just started. Am I understanding the
relationship between KB928366 and the recently failures right?

Is KB928366 referring to the 2004 .NET SP1 and what we're experiencing with
live update is just maintenance against that or is KB928366 the maintenance
update that's failing?

I was given a suggestion to uninstall all previous updates of this sort and
reinstall, but it didn't work. Seems as tho' Microsoft should come up with a
fix for this Security Update if it is so important to have on our computers.
I wonder if the others that are having this problem have Windows Media Center
2005 because that's what I have. There has to be some commonality between
those of us that are having this problem.

Hi,

I am getting the same error message but wish to know if newer versions of
the .NET framwork supercede the previous entries. My problem is with .NET 1.1
SP1.

I have looked at my control Panel, Add/Remove and notice that .NET 2.0 has
been installed. Do I really need to install the SP1 for 1.1?
