error code when trying to sign in

Hi All,

I am using the latest windows live messenger windows xp home sr3. On my
laptop I am getting the error code 80048821 when I try to sign into
messenger. I can't even sign in on msn.com. what can I do to fix this?
Any help would be most appreciated. thanks,

As a starting point, make sure your computer's time and date are set correctly.

I'm sorry I miss spoke. I just can't get signed in on the web site as well
as in messenger. I only get the error in messenger.

Hi Peter,

I got my problem solved. It was user error. I was putting in the wrong
user name. I must have eaten a bucket of duh that day. After correcting
the user name all is well. thanks for your help.
