Error code in vista

Hi everyone

my vista home edition is very wierd can anyone help me with an error code
0x3 0x92284a30
the problem is that i have runned windows for 2-3 weeks no special programs
but every now and then i only come to see the mouse pointer and a black
screen,
¨when i restart i always get the same. regardless if i choose failsafe mode
or not.
when i put in the vista dvd and make reparation it works the first time, i
get into windows fine. the second time i restart the pc it goes black and
only with a mouse pointer,
i can move the mouse but cant do any thing else.
and when i do the repair again i get the error code,
the only option i have is to reinstall windows.
any suggestions?!

Hi Örjan,

It sounds like it might be a driver problem. You need to go to Control
Panel/System,
and look in device manager for devices that have an "!" by them. If you
find one, it
means the driver for that piece of hardware is not working, and you either
need to
upgrade the driver, remove the equipment, and uninstall the driver. I'm not
on my
Vista box, or I'd give you better instructions. I know the above work with
XP, but
I'm 100% sure about Vista.

Hi Larry

I dont have any device that has a ! in system control.
but it could be that proplem from the hardware manufactures, like
graphiccard and so on, if i dont use microsoft own drivers.
but it could likely be that problem anyway beacuse vista is a very
disapointing operating system if you compare to xp, on the other hand xp is
well tested, i only wish microsoft could do a little more BETA testing before
realese, as of know i recomend all my customers to buy vista when next SP
realese.
