Error Code: 0x8024002D
means - a full-file patch failed because the source was required

If you were downloading a patch, repair Office install and try the patch again or try
installing the patch with the Office CD in the installation drive.

***** saw this, but I can't FIND to original office/works MSI
files!!!!!!!!!!! -- although I know they must BE here because I have to keep
saying "no" to "not clean them out" in disc cleanups, etc..... Heavens, I
don't KNOW where the original office/works CD is or WHICH one would have MS
Works on it....BUT i do know that since MS can "tell" I HAVE Works 8
installed [or it couldn't offer this update 3 times} THEN Microsoft should be
able to FIND the file it "needs to update" ON my computer! I don't understand
why they make this so difficult and time-consuming???

went online on MS technology site (all night long, basically) & found a
download where it offers a "fix" or "redownload" of Works8 "for limited time"
to correct security issues----- however, I have downloaded this huge program
twice, & when I get ready to install it--- it says (1) program signature is
invalid, or (2) program is not signed, publisher cannot be found..??? what
does this mean? I deleted it, refound it, made sure it was (or seems to be )
a microsoft site... redownloaded it.... no sig.... deleted it ... refound
it... rescanned it.... no signature........ WHAT's NEXT?? this has literally
wasted HOURs of my time??
