Error on every startup

I get the same error on every startup in Vista; it is Event ID 100.
The error has a Warning Event ID 200 (Windows shutdown) that occurs 1 second
before the time listed for the startup error. New computer build, full
version of vista install. What are possible causes of this problem? Is a
problem like this definitely hardware related? I performed a windows memory
test - it showed nothing.
Please help.

I would say you have a driver problem of some sort. That usually seems to be
the case with something like this. Maybe, someone can step in and help you.
But you have a retail version of Vista, you should be able to call MS for
free support to help you, if the O/S is within the 180 day activation
period.

>Mr. Arnold, thanks for the response. Microsoft only offers 90 days of support with vista which has just expired for me - I didn't finish the computer until recently.
