Error installing update KB939159 - code 80070002

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
PC: Dell Dimension 8400

I am unable to install the Update for Windows Vista KB939159. The
installation fails every time with error code 80070002.

I have also tried running the standalone installation file from the
Microsoft download centre (Windows6.0-KB939159-x86.msu), but the installation
also fails

I have tried to solve the error using the below articles, but the first one
did not work and the second one I got an error message "access denied" when
attempting to run "ren SoftwareDistribution SDTemp"

Is anyone getting the same error messages? Has anyone managed to solve this
issue? Any help is much apreciated..... thx

I hate to bounce you around but the MVP's in that group are complaining they
get no support from MS. If there are no posts there, you need to contact
Microsoft support, which is free for update problems.
