Error installing Update for SQL Server 2005 (KB 932557) - 0x80070643

i get the following error when attempting to install a recent SQL
Server 2005 (Enterprise) update.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update
with error 0x80070643: Update for SQL Server 2005 (KB 932557).

i cannot find any KB articles about this that are helpful so far.

any idea as to what's going on?

I am getting the same problem on a SBS2003R2 Premier edition brand new
installation when Microsoft Update tried to install @Update for SQL Server
2005 (KB 932557)@
