I see no reference to WUA 3.0 in the log you posted, Michael, so we might
assume that the updated version of WUA 3.0 already been installed and
something else is amiss.

Before checking in at Windows Update again, ensure that you have disabled
all 3rd-party anti-virus, anti-spyware, popup-blocker, download accelerator,
or firewall. If you disabled a 3rd-party firewall, re-enable Windows
Firewall for the duration.
If you're running any Norton application, try uninstalling it altogether.

support calls that are associated with security updates & Windows Update
itself. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related to a
