when I log on with the correct password, a window pops up saying:

code:
0xc004E002

Description:
The Software Licensing Service reported that the licensing Store contains
inconsistent data.

at the bottom right of this black screen it says:

Windows Vista (TM)
Build 6000
This copy of Windows is not genuine

Well, this copy of Windows Vista is genuine, for one. It came with the
computer when I bought it from Best Buy. I would really like to log onto my
computer as soon as possible. And not reformat it just yet. I have a paper I
need to turn in within four hours.

Also, my computer was acting up about a week and a half ago and I ended up
reformatting. I also did a virus scan a couple days ago, and I havn't
downloaded anything, so it isn't a virus.

Help please?

If it is going to take reformating my computer, then I am able to do that
now. I emailed what I could of what is on this computer to my hotmail.
I would still rather not reformat it though.
160 gigs worth of stuff and games...
