error message 0x80248011

i can not access microsoft update i have tried refresh and tools options to
no avail. I have resolved my outlook express issue by reloading from my
original cd with outlook express only. would this have affected the update.
if so should i reinstall the sp 1/2 form site i have windows xp professional
version 2002 upgrade fom home edition and the sp 2 was installed earlier this
year. any suggestions? Denny
