Error Message 8007007B Windows Vista

Security update KB925902 will not install on my PC. I keep getting the error
code 8007007B, but can find no refernce to it anywhere. I sent an Email to
Microsoft a couple of weeks ago but did not get a response,Disappointing, Has
anyone else had the same problem with this update?

I too have received this same error and I have not found out how to resolve
it yet. If you find out how to fix it, could you let me know. It is driving
me insane!!

Rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to see if that helps -
1. Stop the Windows Update service (make sure you are logged on as an Administrator)

Start button || Control Panel ||System and Maintenance ||Administrative Tools
Double-click Services
(Provide the Administrator password or confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click Stop.

2. Click Start, type %windir% in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

Locate and rename the SoftwareDistribution folder.

3. Start the Windows Update service

Start button || Control Panel ||System and Maintenance ||Administrative Tools
Double-click Services
(Provide the Administrator password or confirmation if prompted to do so.)
Right-click the Windows Update service and click Start.

This procedure will erase your history on the Windows Update Site. Not important.

Try again.

Thanks for the advice. I seen this posting elsewhere and have tried it many
times with no success. I have resorted to just hiding the update so that it
stops bugging me. Not an ideal solution but at least it stops nagging me to
download the update.
