I wanted to provide an update, I think I fixed my connection problem. I
discovered I had some spyware playing around with my registry, which was also
affecting my I.E. browser with dnserror.htm codes. I downloaded three
different spyware/error removers and I'm certain my laptop is operating much
smoother than it previously did. It's been starting up a few seconds faster,
which is a great improvement since I've loaded it with mp3's and .jpgs.
So far, i've used RegCure, XoftSpySE, Registry Smart and Ad-Aware. They all
uncovered different levels of file risks that were embedded in the ROOT
system.
I hope this proves to be helpful to anyone else affected by this problem.
