error message 80246008 when trying to update

When trying to update my Live OneCare, I keep getting the error message
80246008. I have gone through the entire troubleshooting process that
Windows suggests, but nothing has resolved it. In looking at my update
history, it appears that updates were successful until about a month ago, and
then every update since has failed. When I follow the windows advice I am
told to reset the BITS (background intelligent transfer service) but this
does not exist in my "services" list in the control panel.

I am running Vista Home Premium.

Try the Bits Repair Tool and see if that helps -
