I downloaded a windows xp update yesterday and along with it came an internet
explorer version 7. Ever since, as soon as I shut down IE I get an error
message:
iexplore.exe application error: 0x0364455b could not be read. (yada yada
yada ...) Click OK to terminated or CANCEL to debug. What is this and how
to I get rid of it ???

Yes, several actually. I even uninstalled the "add ons" that others have
said might have been causing the error --- yahoo toolbar, google toolbar.

And what, exactly, is the error you get?

Even if it is the same as the OP, please post the details.

It's a pop up box after I shut down IE that says---
THE INSTRUCTION AT "0x036d455b" REFERENCED MEMORY AT "0x036d455b".
THE MEMORY COULD NOT BE "READ".

CLICK ON OK TO TERMINATE THE PROGRAM.
CLICK ON CANCEL TO DEBUG THE PROGRAM.

I've done both (maybe I shouldn't have) but it still doesn't go away.
