Error message occurs when I download Windows Update

My windows update icon keeps on telling me I need to download two updates.
Furthermore, after the download of the two updates it gives me the following
error:

The system dll user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. This relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\HHCTRL.OCX
occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLL's. The vendor
supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

My O/S is Windows XP Media Center. I checked support.microsoft.com for
similar issues, but it only gives answers for Windows NT.

I have had this problem for at least four days. I have tried to relsove it
by creating a system restore point and then downloading the updates. The
error message then comes and I restore to the point I just created.

Is there anything else I can do?

Vulnerabilities in GDI Could Allow Remote Code Execution (925902)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms07-017.mspx

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925902
Known issues
After you install this security update on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based
computer, Realtek HD Audio Control Panel (Rthdcpl.exe) may not start. Additionally, you
receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Rthdcpl.exe - Illegal System DLL Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly.
The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\Windows\System32\Hhctrl.ocx occupied an address
range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted
for a new DLL.

Update for Windows XP (KB935448)
Install this update to resolve an issue where the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not
start after you install security update KB925902 (MS07-017) and security update KB928843
(MS07-008).

In addition to the relocated in memory error, I am also getting repeated
messages at my Windows Update icon to indicate I need to dowload certain
updates. When I cross reference with windowsupdate.microsoft.com it indicates
it was already installed. It was also the troublesome update that caused this
error. How can I make update icon near my clock correct so it matches
windowsupdate.microsoft.com?

I have also had this problem, and did a system restore to before I had
updated, but now it keeps telling me that I need to update, but if I do
update, it will cause the same error message! Any ideas of how to stop the
update message?
