error message" the software has not passed windows logo testing"

I have purchased a sony digital video camera DCR-TRV265E PAL but unable to
install it after several attemts. The picture package software is installed
from the cd but the computer cannot identify the Camera. Please help me out.

I have no idea what this has to do with Windows Update but if you have
