This is the error message I get: "There is not enough disk space on
C:__________/$ntservicepackuninstall$ to uninstall Service Pack 2. Set up
requires a minimum of 4 additional MB of free space or if you must to archive
the files for uninstall setup requires additional 4 MB of free space on your
hard drive and the try again." I have the required space = 53.0gb and 1.98gb
of ram. Is it possibly because my notebook is a Mac and I am trying to use
Boot camp and there is not enough space for Windows XP even though they have
53.0gb ans 1.98gb just for itself? I have removed all Windows files - there
it is as empty as it can be. This wouldn't be an issue but I need the update
file contained in the Service Pack. Thanks!

This sounds as if it is not a Windows issue. It looks as if there is not
enough hard disk allocated to the Windows partition of the hard disk. You
might need to reconfigure Boot Camp.

If SP2 offers the option of *not* taking backups for uninstall purposes,
then you could try taking that option, but I think most SP2s have that
option grayed out.

I had the same problem. You need to go to WWW.Apple.com/support/downloads
and download BootCamp Update 2.1 for Windows XP.
