Error Message while checking for updates

My computer shows error msg "This version of Windows XP is no longer up to
date" but when I try to install SP2, i get error msg 0x8024001D - the website
has encountered problems and cannot display the page you are trying to view

I got same problem with my laptop when am trying to update whether custom or
express, am having sp2
