Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me out with the following erro
message that pops up once my machine has booted up. I could be wron
but, it seems to have started just over a week ago ever since
completely removed the latest Nero 8 from my machine using the Ner
CleanTool from their website. It seems to appear about once in every
start-ups. However, I'm certainly no expert and could well be way of
the mark. After lots of Google searches I'm still none the wiser as
couldn't find any results for said error message. If someone could hel
me out and possibly help me resolve this, then I'd be ever so grateful.

Regards, Chris.

It may be something on startup.
Have a look here:
Control Panel Home > Programs > Change startup programs
or
Control Panel Classic > Performance Information and tools > Manage startup programs.

Have a look on the left for anything about Nero, rundll32 etc.
You may find a file name or something which you could Google.
Disable first, if you pick the wrong thing just enable on next boot.
Then delete, if you want to, when you are sure you have found it.

Hi, thanks for the reply. However, I have tried that. I disabled pretty
much everything I could think of that may have been causing an error on
start-up. I've had a look under msconfig and Windows Defender and
disabled programs that were not needed. Also, there were no traces
whatsoever of anything left behind from Nero. I'm truly stumped.

Is the file LXCTDRS.DLL on your system? What are the file properties for it?

Are you using a Lexmark printer? Are there updated drivers/software
available for it?

I do have a Lexmark printer, yes. However, a few days ago I disabled
plenty of programs which were not needed on start-up. A couple of them
were NVIDIA related; so as well as updating my NVIDIA drivers, I had a
good Google search to see if they were safe to disable on start-up. It
turns out they were and, so far, so good. Fingers crossed.
