error messages after downloading IE7

I had to restore pc to factory settings last night and now doing windows
updates. After downloading internet explorer 7 I am geeting error messages
out the whazzo. Is there a download or something I can do to correct these
problems. I tried uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 but it said some of the
updates might not work if I did so, now I am here for advice. Please help

You may have a horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I suggest that
you..,

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html [Ignore any warnings]

2. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

3. Reinstall IE7 per http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install,
and using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.
