Since doing a system recovery on my PC (Compaq Presario AMD Athlon running
Windows XP) and doing all the critical downloads (74 of the little
so-and-sos!) my PC has taken to displaying one or both of the following
messages on boot-up.

'One of the files containing the systems Registry data had to be recovered
by use of a log or alternative copy. The recovery was successful.'

'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs
to close - szAppName: svchost.exe; szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180; szModName:
netcfgx.dll; szModVer: 5.1.2600.2180; offset: 0000f9c0'

Any help in resolving these issues would be gratefully received.
