Error Msg: C00D11B1 for Windows Media Player 11

When I try to play something from my playlist I get this error msg. " WMP
encounterec a problem while playing the file, for additional assistance click
web help."
I also get another error msg when I try to listen to a download from an
e-mail. It is error code C00D11CD Unknown error. WMP has encountered an
unknown error. THis can occur when another program or operation system
component encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the
problem to the player.
I cannot ever play cd's in my computer! I have tried everything I can
think of for about a month now. I believe it is up to date. Very
Frustrating. Please help!
