Error nr. 0x80070424

Hi there,
I have a problem with dowloading the SP2. I get a notice Error nr.
0x80070424 whenever I visit the windows update website and choose to start
the automatic or manual install of patches. Then for a while I get a message
that new updates are beeing checked and I get the abovementioned error
notice. What is worse I can't find the solution in the Microsoft database and
no info on this particular error is available. The problem didn't occur from
the very begging - it appeared from nowhere some week ago.
Can anyone help?

I forgot to add that I am using Windows XP Home.
