The LAN & Laptop have data flow problems, perhaps due to interference,
or perhaps due to a faulty or misconfigured wireless router. It's also
possible that the wireless interface in the laptop is causing the problem.

Same problem, tried the suggested steps without success. This all started When Vista Home basic failed to download sp1 I got message must update windows update before you can update. Microsofts version of you can't get there from here catch 22 error.

A well meaning Windows Tech has been working on my Acer Aspire by remote access
for 2 hrs so far but I do not think he has made any progress or at least not much. But I must say it is more entertaining to watch then anything currently airing on Cable TV.
