[Error number: 0x8007007E] tried everything!!!

when i try to update windows i get:


[Error number: 0x8007007E]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.


PLEASE HELP ME, AS I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING

Since you have not specified the "everything" that you've already tried:

0x8007007E error
http://www.updatexp.com/0x8007007E.html

You receive error message 0x8007007e when you try to install updates
from the Windows Update Web site
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836928

Windows XP stops responding when you download updates from Windows
Update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831429

If you've already attempted all of the above, please post the latest
entry from the WindowsUpdate.log located in the WINDOWS directory.
Just post the latest date's entry located at the end of the log, please,
not the whole log.

)If their is still anyone having this issue, go to google type in: windows
service pack 2

click on your first result (this should be a microsoft link) and find a
link that says "downlaod service pack 2 to multiple computers (even for a
single computer)

Download that to your desktop.

when its finished open the file, (its exicutable) it will begin installing
service pack 2 after this you can update through windows update.

(or in the future you can update manually, i never trust windows update!)
