Error number 0x8024001D solution

If updates do not download do the following (Error number: 0x8024001D):

1. Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services
2. Stop Automatic Updates
3. Stop Background Intelligent Transfer Service
4. Go to c:\windows and rename the software distribution folder e.g.
softwaredistribution_old
5. Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services
6. Start Automatic Updates
7. Start Background Intelligent Transfer Service
8. Try now to download windows updates.
